The Mechelen Pavilion at Memorial Park in Arvada explains the mission of the Sister Cities program and celebrates Arvada's relationship with Mechelen, Belgium.

Arvada Sister Cities International has sponsored and participated in a wide range of international and local activities. We invite you to join us in forming new friendships around the world. Some of our past projects include:
*Entertained visiting delegations from Belgium, China, Israel, Mexico, and Kazakhstan
*In cooperation with Project Cure, assisted on shipping over 1 million dollars in medical supplies to Kazakhstan
*Sponsored an annual Chinese New Year celebration at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities [Mechelen Toy Museum]
*Home hosted Belgian, Kazakstan and other foreign visitors
*Initiated school pen pal programs in Belgium, Kazakhstan, and China
*Sponsored performance by the Israeli dance group Gvanim at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities
*Participated in the Arvada Harvest Festival with China's video
*Sponsored Toy Museum Exhibit from Mechelen, Belgium at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities
*Sponsored cultural exchange of "Cowboys and Indian-Myths and Reality" Western art exhibit at the Toy Museum in Mechelen, Belgium
*Presented emergency preparedness training program in Kyzylorda, Kazakhstan
*Received Federal Grant Open world program, hosted delegation from Kazakhstan in 2016
